Product Launch Template

This page helps new customers understand the process for requesting locations to be captured using the Project Launch Template.

Project Overview

When starting a new project, each customer will have access to a Project Launch Template. This should be filled out at the start of a project with an initial list of partner locations for the Threshold team to begin capturing. This initial list helps our team understand the scope of your project and get started capturing more quickly. Before and during the start of a project, the team is also on boarding a Threshold Creator (a local contract photographer) if needed, and this list also helps provide locations for the Creator to start working on as soon as possible.

What fields are required in the template?

The Template has a few color coded sections, here’s what they mean and which ones are most important:

  • Green (Required) - Location Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, and preferred Season to capture
  • Yellow (Strongly Recommended) - Point of Contact (POC at the Location), POC’s Email, POC’s Phone Number
  • Pink (As needed) - Stop-by or Scheduled, any Notes about the Location

What’s a Stop-by versus Scheduled?

Threshold captures your locations in 1 of 2 ways:

  • Stop-by: Locations that have standard business hours, smaller footprints, and unlikely to have any issues with security permissions, planning around special events, or similar. These locations are given directly to the Creator to contact and capture when their schedule permits.
    • Outdoor locations like parks, beaches, trails, etc
    • Restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, breweries & bars, retail stores
  • Scheduled: These are locations which will take some planning and preparation from the location itself to ensure the capturable spaces are available and prepped to be captured on camera. These locations are contacted via emails and phone in order to elicit them to book a capture appointment with a Threshold Creator.
    • Lodging like hotels, resorts, B&Bs, short-term rentals
    • Event venues, convention centers, performing arts theatres, etc
    • Attractions such as museums, zoos, amusement parks, etc
    • Sports facilities such as arenas, stadiums, sports parks, etc
    • Medical facilities
    • Transportation facilities such as airports or train stations
    • National Parks and some State Parks

In the Project Launch Template, you do not need to signify if a location will be a Stop-by or Scheduled as our team is often taking care of this step once we receive your list. But if you know a location will need a certain capture process, feel free to note it in that field. It is also not required to have both of these Capture types on your list!

Do I need to fill out the template with all the locations I intend to capture over the course of my platform agreement?

No! An initial list can be 10-20 locations or so, and you can add more later on as you identify them. The goal with the template is to get the project launched as quickly as possible, and establish an ongoing cadence between your team and Threshold so we can act on any new location requests as soon as you have them. So when you do have more requested locations, simply add them to the template and email your Account Manager with an updated spreadsheet.

How does Threshold go about capturing my locations?

Once you have sent us your initial list of locations, our team ensures all of the information is accurate and adds your list into our system. We also go thru and determine if a location will need a Stop-by or Scheduled capture (if it's not already noted by you). If we have some Stop-bys identified, we’ll begin with those first, as we begin to do outreach with you in order to contact the Scheduled locations and begin booking capture appointments.
